Hot Glue Shoes Part 3: Prep, Paint, and Seal Your Shoes

  1. Thanks for sharing! You haven't had a problem with Modge Podge peeling off like nail polish?

    1. Nope. I've been told that if they are in humid climates the ModPodge can get sticky. That's the only problem I've had. ModPodge bonds better than most mediums, and the shoes are porous enough that it sticks on there pretty well.

  2. Hi Camille! Thanks so much for sharing! I have an idea which I haven't tried just thought about - tell me what u think: once I was a makeup artist, and when we made effects - we used material called allginate to prepare molds. it is a lot less messy than the oogoo. I do not know about its safety for children. and we filled the molds with latex, which is liquid, and when dry becomes flexible. also do'nt know about if its toxic or not. but it sounds like there maybe something to check. what do you think?
